Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 reveals its multiplayer modes

The celebration of Skulls 2024 festival left us with many announcements regarding games inspired by the popular tabletop game franchise from Games Workshop. Space Marine 2 was one of the stars of the show as the upcoming third-person shooter from Saber Interactive has a fairly large community of fans waiting to find out more about it ahead of the upcoming release. The game will put you once more in the shoes of Captain Titus in an epic campaign against the Tyranids. This campaign can be shared with others in cooperative multiplayer mode for up to three players, but Space Marine 2 will also have more exciting features for multiple players. 

Several multiplayer modes

If earlier this month the game's artbook was leaked revealing that Space Marine 2 will feature PvP battles, yesterday's Skulls 2024 video shed some light on the different multiplayer modes that the fans will enjoy in the game. 

The brand-new Operations Mode allows players to take on challenging missions alongside other two teammates. The progression in this mode is independent from the campaign and it's a side activity with 6 classes to choose from, cosmetic items and weapons to unlock as you complete missions. Alongside this mode, Space Marine 2 will also feature a variety of PvP modes that will pit teams of six Space Marines and Chaos Space Marines against each other in epic battles. The game will launch with three different modes: Capture and Control, Annihilation, and Seize Ground. The addition of all these gameplay modes will drastically increase the replayability of Space Marine 2 which is something that the fans of the series will love. 

The release of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is scheduled for September 9 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
