A spectacular RPG

Set in a dark, late-medieval world powered by Unreal Engine 5, The Blood of Dawnwalker is an open-world RPG that blends narrative depth with action-driven combat. Players step into the role of Coen, a protagonist living a dual existence: human during the day and vampire at night. This central mechanic is not just thematic but deeply integrated into gameplay systems, influencing exploration, combat options, and story outcomes.

The project has generated considerable interest due to the pedigree of its development team, which includes several former developers from CD Projekt Red. Their involvement has led many to view the game as a spiritual successor to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, though with a darker tone and a stronger emphasis on supernatural mechanics.

System requirements

Alongside the release date, the developers have outlined detailed PC system requirements across several performance targets, giving players a clearer picture of the hardware needed to run the game smoothly.

Minimum: 1080p at 30 FPS on low settings

• CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
• RAM: 16 GB
• GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3050 / GTX 1070 or AMD RX Vega 56 (Intel Arc A580 also supported)
• VRAM: 6 GB
• Storage: 60 GB SSD
• OS: Windows 10 with DirectX 12

Recommended: 1080p and 60 FPS on high settings

• CPU: Intel Core i5-13600 or AMD Ryzen 9 7900X
• RAM: 16 GB
• GPU: NVIDIA RTX 5060 or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT
• VRAM: 12 GB
• Storage: 60 GB SSD

At the high end, players aiming for 4K resolution at 60 FPS on ultra settings should expect significantly steeper demands, potentially requiring next-generation GPUs and top-tier hardware overall. The developers note that these benchmarks were established without the use of upscaling or frame generation technologies, meaning tools like DLSS or FSR can help improve performance beyond these baseline targets.

With its release date now set and its technical ambitions clearly outlined, The Blood of Dawnwalker is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious RPGs of 2026. You can keep track of the cheapest prices to purchase The Blood of Dawnwalker with our comparator.
