    FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Can I permanently lose the Monolith Shards during combat encounters, and if so, how does that impact the 'Echo' mechanic?
Yes, losing all Monolith Shards in a fight triggers a 'Resonance Failure', leading to a significant penalty affecting your Echo's abilities and potentially forcing a full reset to the last checkpoint. The amount lost and the severity of the penalty is based on the number of shards carried before combat begins.
How does the 'Reconstruction' ability interact with the dynamic environment elements, such as destructible structures or moving platforms?
Reconstruction can affect the environment in a limited way. While you cannot fully rebuild destroyed structures, you can use Reconstruction on certain environmental elements, particularly to reactivate or manipulate them. This interaction is key for puzzle solving and navigating the game's levels.
Does the 'Echo' ability allow me to replay any specific section or moment, or is it limited to the entire level or area only?
The Echo ability is primarily level-based. When activated, it reverts time to your last checkpoint, allowing you to retry sections or encounters, however, it does not allow rewinding time to any specific moment or part of the level.
Can different weapon types be 'infused' with Monolith energy, and what unique effects do these infusions provide?
Yes, different weapon types can be infused. Each weapon class will gain unique Monolith-based effects. The effects range from damage over time, status effects, and enhanced combat potential.
How do I acquire new 'Monolith Fragments', and do they provide static buffs or can they be upgraded?
Monolith Fragments are found by exploration. They provide passive buffs or active abilities. Fragments can be upgraded by collecting duplicates.
Is the 'Corruption' mechanic a persistent status, and what actions increase or decrease its effects?
Corruption is persistent within an area. Taking damage from corrupted enemies and environments increases the Corruption meter. Using abilities that draw heavily on Monolith energy will also increase Corruption. Resting at safe zones will decrease corruption.
How does the game's difficulty scale, and does it affect the frequency or types of resources I find?
Difficulty scaling primarily affects enemy health, damage, and behaviors. Resource availability is largely consistent across difficulties.
Can I use 'Reconstruction' to manipulate enemies, and if so, what are the limitations?
Reconstruction can affect certain enemy types, but not all. The ability allows you to disrupt enemy attacks, slow them down, or even reposition them, but it has limitations in terms of range, cooldown, and the type of enemies it can affect.
What happens if I die during a boss fight that has multiple phases?
If you die during a boss fight with multiple phases, you will restart at the beginning of the current phase, retaining any abilities or upgrades you obtained beforehand, however you lose any resources used in the previous phase.
How does the game's narrative unfold, and how does the use of the 'Echo' mechanic affect the storytelling?
The narrative unfolds through environmental storytelling, character interactions, and fragmented memories. The Echo mechanic allows players to revisit areas, potentially uncovering new narrative details or understanding events in different ways.
