Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut is now Steam Deck verified

Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut officially Steam Deck verified

Sucker Punch Productions and Nixxes Software have released Patch 8 for Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut on PC, bringing a wave of optimizations and one major milestone for portable players — the single-player campaign is now officially Steam Deck Verified. This certification means players can enjoy Jin Sakai’s journey seamlessly on Valve’s handheld, with optimized visuals, stable performance, and refined UI scaling that make every sword clash and sunset on Tsushima Island look and feel better than ever.

Steam Deck Optimization and Multiplayer Split

Patch 8 introduces a dedicated Steam Deck graphics preset designed to balance image quality and performance, ensuring the game runs smoothly across a variety of conditions. The update also improves memory stability, fixes minor crashes, and resolves community-reported issues such as the Steam Input compatibility crash and an audio bug during the Eternal Blue Sky mission. AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution has been upgraded to version 3.1.4, offering sharper visuals and more efficient upscaling. Meanwhile, players using newer AMD Radeon RX 9000 GPUs can enable FSR 4 through driver settings for an even better visual experience.

Another notable change is the separation of Ghost of Tsushima’s Legends Mode, now offered as a standalone free DLC for all Director’s Cut owners. While the mode still requires a PlayStation Network account for online play, this adjustment allows for a cleaner installation and gives players more flexibility to focus on either the single-player story or multiplayer action.

Beyond the technical updates, this patch marks another meaningful step in Ghost of Tsushima’s ongoing evolution on PC. The Director’s Cut has already delivered one of the most cinematic samurai adventures in gaming, and now, with Steam Deck verification, it brings that experience to players on the go.
