Pokémon Legends: Z-A is just around the corner, and players can now preload the highly anticipated title ahead of its October 16 release. This new entry marks a major milestone for the franchise, serving as the first Pokémon game to debut on Nintendo’s upcoming Switch 2, while also remaining available on the original console.

According to official preload data shared on October 8, players on the original Nintendo Switch will need 4.0 GB of free storage space, while the Switch 2 version requires 7.7 GB — nearly double the size.
The difference suggests higher-quality assets or improved performance optimizations for the next-generation hardware, though Nintendo has yet to confirm any exclusive features for the newer console.
