Vampire Survivors is available for free on the Epic Games Store

As the new year approaches, the Epic Games Store launches a significant giveaway event, providing a new game each day for users to keep. Continuing this tradition, the event is returning for the end of 2024 as well. The daily promotion is set to continue for the next two weeks, and kicking things off is a giveaway for Vampire Survivors.

Replacing last week’s offering, which included The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria, Vampire Survivors is developed by Poncle, who introduced this hit arcade game back in 2022. Unfortunately, despite ongoing updates over the years, no vampires have actually made an appearance in the game, although a few more vampire hunters were added in the recent Castlevania crossover.

This action-packed roguelike with bullet hell features requires players to dodge hordes of enemies while dealing damage through auto-fire weapons. As players defeat foes, the experience points will gradually level up their chosen character, providing random weapons and upgrades that can be combined for stunning effects to clear out groups of enemies and bosses. Additionally, local co-op gameplay is available for up to four players.

Take down thousands of nighttime creatures and live to see dawn! Vampire Survivors is a casual gothic horror game infused with rogue-lite mechanics, where player decisions can lead to a rapid accumulation of power against the overwhelming number of monsters you face. Hell may be empty, but the devils are here, and there’s no escape. All you can do is endure as long as possible until death inevitably ends your fight.

Vampire Survivors is available for free on the Epic Games Store for the next 24 hours. As for what’s next, Epic Games remains mysterious about its upcoming offering.
