Sucker Punch Productions is steadily pulling back the curtain on Ghost of Yōtei, with new details emerging about its characters, weapons, and PlayStation 5 features. The game, a standalone sequel to Ghost of Tsushima, is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious samurai adventures to date.

PlayStation recently updated the official Ghost of Yōtei website, offering the first full look at Atsu’s enemies, known as the Yōtei Six. Each foe has a distinct identity and role in the story, ranging from the cunning Kitsune to the brutal Oni, giving players a variety of memorable encounters to anticipate. This level of detail highlights Sucker Punch’s intent to craft not only a vast open world but also a personal, character-driven journey for Atsu.

Beyond combat, Sucker Punch is pushing technical boundaries with PlayStation 5 hardware. The game will make full use of Tempest 3D Audiotech for immersive soundscapes, lightning-fast SSD load times, and stunning visual fidelity across environments—from snowy ridges to flower-filled fields. Special edition PS5 consoles and DualSense controllers have also been announced, though availability will remain limited to the Slim and Pro models.
